Ajax ReX 2 – security system range extender

Ajax ReX 2 gives your Ajax security system flexibility and reliable coverage. This intelligent wireless range extender lets you connect detectors or camera-equipped sensors even when they are far from the hub or the site layout is complex, such as a large house, a warehouse, a property with several buildings or a commercial office/hall environment.

Why choose ReX 2?

• Wide coverage and operating range – ReX 2 can relay signals between the hub and devices over a distance of up to approx. 1,700 m in open space.

• Visual alarm verification and photo verification – Unlike the first ReX version, ReX 2 also supports photo verification (e.g. with MotionCam or MotionCam Outdoor detectors), so when an alarm is triggered, not only the signal but also photos are transmitted – an important additional security measure.

• Fast and reliable alarms – Alarms are delivered in just 0.3 seconds.

• Backup power and tamper protection – ReX 2 runs on 110–240 V mains power, while the built-in Li-ion battery allows the device to operate autonomously for up to approx. 38 hours during a power outage. The device also supports tamper, jamming and physical intrusion detection, as well as data encryption that protects the signal against interference.

• Easy installation and setup – Adding ReX 2 to the system is simple: scan the device's QR code with the Ajax app, test the signal strength and mount the device on a wall or other surface using the SmartBracket mounting panel. No complex wiring or special installation required.

• Suitable for large and complex sites – With one hub and up to five ReX units, the total system coverage can extend over several hectares or square kilometres, ideal for properties with multiple buildings, large private houses, warehouses and industrial buildings.

Who Ajax ReX 2 is for and what it's used for

Ajax ReX 2 is ideal if:

• You need a security system for a large house, villa, warehouse or a property with several buildings.

• Your devices (detectors, sirens, camera-equipped detectors, etc.) are located far from the hub or need to be spread out, for example in a garage, a second house, a barn, a basement, an office or a hall.

• You want your security system to support visual alarm verification (photo) as well, whether for motion, window/door opening or other detectors.

• You want the system to work reliably even during a power outage and the signal to remain secure in the event of tampering or jamming.

• You want a flexible, scalable and easy-to-manage system, suitable for private homes, commercial premises, warehouses/halls and multi-building properties alike.
