Ajax Hub BP Jeweller

Wireless battery-powered security system hub

Overview

Hub BP Jeweller is Ajax's first wireless battery-powered hub, designed to provide security in places without a constant power supply. The device runs on a battery (or an external battery) and supports photo verification (MotionCam-type detectors).

Hub BP connects to Ajax Cloud via two SIM cards (2G / 3G / LTE) and supports automatic failover from one network to the other when needed.

The device is intended for locations where mains power is unreliable or unavailable, such as summer cottages, construction sites, remote buildings or facilities.

Key Features and Functions

Function / feature	Description
Wireless operation	Runs on a battery or an external battery during power outages.
Photo verification support	Lets you receive images of events or alarms (via MotionCam devices).
Communication channels	Dual SIM support, 2G / 3G / LTE.
Automatic network switching	If one SIM or connection fails, the device automatically switches to the other.
Radio communication with Ajax detectors	Uses the Jeweller (transmissions, alarms, events) and Wings (photo transfer) protocols.
Communication range	Theoretically up to ~ 2,000 m in open space without obstacles.
Connectable devices	Supports up to 100 Ajax wireless devices.
Users	Up to 50 users can be given system management rights.
Tamper protection	A security alarm is triggered if the enclosure is opened or the device is removed.
Software / updates	The hub runs the OS Malevich operating system, which supports over-the-air updates.
Power consumption optimisation	“Battery power saver” mode that extends battery life.
