Akuvox S535 – modular IP door station with facial recognition

The Akuvox S535 is a modular IP door station that combines video intercom, facial recognition and access control in a single unit. It is suitable for managing entrances in apartment buildings, office buildings, gated residential communities, commercial premises and industrial sites.

The S535 front panel is made of aluminium and features a 5-inch IPS touchscreen. The built-in 2 MP wide-angle camera offers a 116° horizontal field of view and automatic illumination. Two-way IP audio with echo cancellation ensures clear communication between visitors and residents or staff.

Multiple ways to unlock the door

The Akuvox S535 supports a range of authentication methods to suit the needs of each site. The door can be unlocked:

• by facial recognition;
• with an EM or MIFARE card;
• with a PIN code;
• via BLE;
• with a QR code;
• via NFC on supported Android devices.

Using multiple authentication methods makes for a convenient solution for residents, employees and temporary visitors alike.

Expandable modular design

The S535 supports add-on modules that allow the system's functionality to be extended to suit each project. LTE, fingerprint reader and induction loop modules are available.

This design allows the same main unit to be used across different types of sites, with the required functions added according to the project requirements.

Integration and connectivity

The Akuvox S535 runs on Linux and supports the SIP and ONVIF protocols. The device features an Ethernet connection, PoE+ power, an RS485 interface and a configurable Wiegand input or output.

The built-in relay output can control an electric lock or other access device. The two inputs are suitable for connecting, for example, a door contact, an exit button or another external device.

Built for outdoor use

With IP66 weather resistance and IK08 impact resistance, the S535 panel can be installed even in demanding outdoor conditions. The operating temperature range is –40 °C to +55 °C.

The panel can be flush-mounted or surface-mounted.
