Ajax DomeCam HLVF (5 Mp) is a professional wired IP camera that combines 5-megapixel high-resolution imaging, a motorised varifocal lens, hybrid illumination and AI-powered object detection. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, it is designed for installations where the field of view and zoom need to be precisely adjusted to suit the mounting location.

The camera's 2.8–12 mm motorised varifocal lens lets you adjust the focal length and zoom remotely, then automatically focuses on the target. This simplifies camera setup and lets you achieve the optimal view without physically adjusting the lens. HLVF stands for Hybrid Light + Varifocal, i.e. hybrid illumination and a variable focal length lens.

True WDR helps retain image detail in high-contrast lighting conditions, for example when monitoring entrances, windows or outdoor areas where very bright and dark areas appear at the same time.

For night-time surveillance, the DomeCam HLVF uses hybrid illumination that combines infrared (IR) and white LED light. In standard night mode, IR illumination is used, and white light switches on when needed to capture objects in colour. The illumination intensity adapts to the situation to reduce overexposure.

Built-in AI object detection distinguishes between people, vehicles and pets. The camera also supports motion detection and video analytics, sending events to the Ajax system and app.

The DomeCam HLVF features a built-in microphone and audio and alarm inputs/outputs, enabling two-way audio and the connection of external audio and alarm devices. The camera connects via Ethernet and can be powered by PoE or a 12 V DC supply.

Video can be recorded to a microSD card of 32–256 GB installed in the camera or to an Ajax NVR. The camera supports H.264 and H.265 video codecs and ONVIF integration, so it can also be used with third-party video management systems.
