Ajax LightSwitch Jeweller Smart Light Switch

Ajax LightSwitch Jeweller is a smart touch light switch for indoor installation. It can replace a mechanical or touch switch and is available in 1-gang, 2-gang and 2-way versions. Devices can be combined with Ajax smart switches and sockets and installed side by side horizontally or vertically using a compatible Frame.

LightSwitch is installed without changing the existing electrical wiring. It does not require a neutral wire and operates from the live wire only. The switch follows the standard European 55 format.

LightSwitch works as part of the Ajax system and communicates with the hub via the secure Jeweller radio protocol. The communication range is up to 1100 m in open space.

Design

LightSwitch is a modular smart light switch. Components are purchased separately and connect mechanically without tools. The Ajax range includes single switches and combined switches. Combined switches can be installed horizontally or vertically.

Single switch

A single LightSwitch consists of two elements: a LightCore relay and a SoloButton touch panel.

Combined switch

A combined switch consists of several LightCore relays and touch panels installed in a frame with the required number of seats. Side panels are installed on the left and right or at the top and bottom, while center panels are installed in the middle.

Colors

The range includes touch panels in 8 colors: white, fog, grey, graphite, ivory, oyster, olive and black. RAL colors are approximate and may differ slightly from the actual shade, so they should be used only as a guide.

In Ajax apps, the LightSwitch color can be configured. The color set in the app does not have to match the installed panel color. A PRO user or administrator can change it at any time.

Functional elements

Relays: LightCore, including 1-gang, 2-gang and 2-way versions, with vertical versions available.

Touch panels: SoloButton, CenterButton and SideButton in 1-gang and 2-gang horizontal and vertical formats.

Frames: 2 to 5 seats, horizontal and vertical.

Before installing the panel, remove the protective film so the LED indicator works correctly.

Operating principle

LightSwitch Jeweller controls lighting in three ways: manually by touch or hand gesture, through smartphone and desktop apps, and with automation scenarios.

It can also be used without a hub as a regular touch switch. It supports loads from 5 to 600 W and includes a capacitor for low-power lamps. The frame has soft LED backlighting, which can be disabled in the app.

In addition to lighting, LightSwitch can be used to control other compatible electrical devices within supported load limits.
