U-PROX IP400 – IP Access Controller

U-PROX IP400 is a versatile IP access controller suitable for small offices as well as larger access control and security systems. The controller can manage up to two one-way doors, one two-way door or one turnstile and communicates over Ethernet, either on a local network or via the Internet.

The device is designed to operate as autonomously as possible. Even if the connection to the server is lost, the controller continues to apply the access rules loaded into it. This keeps the system reliable during temporary network or server outages.

Flexible Solution for Different Access Points

U-PROX IP400 supports two Wiegand readers and a range of system configurations:

• 2 one-way doors – entry with a card reader and exit with a button;
• 1 two-way door – entry and exit control in both directions;
• turnstile;
• turnstile with pulse control;
• connection of biometric readers and other peripheral devices.

The controller can also be used with video surveillance, biometric, security and other third-party systems.

Large Memory Capacity and Autonomous Operation

U-PROX IP400 can store up to 32,000 user credentials and 47,000 events. Access rules, schedules, time zones and holidays can be loaded into the controller, so day-to-day door operation does not depend on a constant connection to the server.

The Anti-Passback function is also supported, including in local systems.

Ethernet Connection and Secure Communication

The controller connects to the system via a 100 Mbit Ethernet network. The device supports DHCP, DNS and NAT and uses secure two-way communication with a 256-bit encryption key. Initial network setup and firmware updates are carried out via the USB interface.

8 Programmable Inputs and 4 Relay Outputs

The IP400 features eight supervised inputs that can be programmed to suit the system's needs, for example for a door contact, exit button or security sensor.

The controller has a total of four relay outputs that can be used to control electric locks, gates, alarms or other actuators. The outputs can be programmed for continuous, pulse, trigger or manual control.

Durable Metal Enclosure

U-PROX IP400 is available in a metal enclosure with a power supply or as a standalone controller board for integrated solutions. The newer IP400H version includes a power supply and battery charging, and supports AGM or LiFePO₄ batteries for backup power.
