Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor

Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor

General information

• Type: wireless bidirectional curtain motion detector – suitable for outdoor perimeter protection (gardens, windows, corridors, etc.)

• Detection range: adjustable from 4 to 15 m for each side (two "curtains", up to ~30 m in total)

• Viewing angle: narrow horizontally (~4.5°), wide vertically (~90°)

Accuracy & false alarm filtering

• Four PIR sensors: two on each side; an alarm is triggered only when both PIRs detect motion simultaneously

• ELSA algorithm: analyses signal shape, synchronisation and spectrum

Pet-friendly & Near‑Zone

• Pet immunity mode: ignores animals up to 80 cm tall when correctly installed (at a height of 0.8–1.3 m)

• Near‑area detection: if required, also detects motion directly below the device thanks to an extended downward-angled sensor view

Tamper protection and anti-masking

• Anti‑masking: detects objects in front of the detector (<10 cm), covering, painting and obstruction – and raises an alarm

• Tamper button: reports tampering when the housing is removed

Communication & security

• Communication: Ajax Jeweller protocol 868 MHz, AES encryption, frequency hopping; radio range up to 1,700 m in open space

• Response time: signal reaches the monitoring station in < 0.15 s.

Power & operating time

• Batteries: 2 × CR123A, pre-installed; battery life up to 4 years

• No external wiring: battery-powered only.

Housing and environmental conditions

• Protection rating: IP54 – dust- and splash-proof, suitable for rain and snow, but not for immersion in water.

• Operating temperature: –25 °C … +60 °C, humidity up to 95%.

Physical dimensions & installation

• Dimensions: 174 × 123 × 88 mm; weight: ~615 g.

• Mounting height: 0.8–1.3 m (for doors/fences); ~0.5–0.6 m in front of windows – with the sensor tilted.

• Adjustable settings: detection distance for each side, field of view shift ± 3°, Near‑zone on/off, sensitivity (3 levels) – all via the app or the panel on the back of the device.
