CO (carbon monoxide) detection

• The device triggers based on the cumulative CO level:

  • > 50 ppm (~0.005%) — alarm within 90 min

  • > 100 ppm (~0.01%) — alarm within 40 min

  • > 300 ppm (~0.03%) — alarm within 3 min
    If CO drops below 50 ppm for one minute, the alarm stops

• Sensor lifespan: 10 years, after which the device must be replaced

Alarm and connectivity features

• Built-in siren with a volume of ~85 dB (at ~3 m) that sounds the alarm and can be silenced with the Test/Mute button

• Interconnected alarm: when one FireProtect detector detects an alarm, the sirens of all detectors in the system are activated within approx. 20 seconds, even when offline (requires a compatible firmware version)

• LED indicators:

  • Green – power on (flashes every ~56 seconds)

  • Yellow – fault or battery warning

  • Red – alarm due to CO level

• Communication range up to ~1,700 m in open space; works with other Ajax devices (ReX and ReX 2 compatible)

Power and lifespan

• Powered by 2 × CR123A batteries (~1600 mAh).

• Battery life of up to 5–7 years (RB version). The RB version requires special power-saving settings to be enabled in the hub system

• Overall rated service life and optimal sensitivity of up to 10 years, after which replacement of the device is recommended
