Ajax EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller

The EN54 I/O Module (2X2) Jeweller is a wireless addressable I/O module with two inputs and two outputs (relay) to enable the control of third party devices and thereby extend the functionality of the Ajax system. The device complies with the relevant European fire safety standards EN 54-18 (input/output devices), EN 54-25 (radio communication) and the Electronic Communications Directive RED (2014/53/EU).

Functionality and features

• Inputs (2x) – Compatible with different types of connections such as NO, NC, EOL, 2EOL and 3EOL, allowing connection of signals from fire detection panels, buttons or HVAC systems.

• Outputs (2x galvanically isolated relays) – support both AC (10-250 V, up to 10 A) and DC (10-30 V, up to 5 A). Operating modes include pulse mode and steady state mode (pulses of selectable duration from 1 second to 1 hour 30 minutes).

• Wireless – uses Jeweller radio communications, providing a two-way, encrypted, frequency-hopping connection with a range of up to 1 700 m in open space.

Power supply and lifetime

• Powered by two CR123A batteries that offer up to 5 years of battery life. Automatic notification via the ajax app when the battery is running low.

• Does not require mains power, but does not share power with connected devices – they must be independent from the mains supply
