Operation modes

Regular operation mode:

• The device sends data (open/closed state, light, battery status) every time it opens/closes.

• When a tilt or swing window/door is opened, the device immediately sends:

  • State, light data and battery info

  • 2 seconds later: tilt angle, light data and battery info

  • Subsequently the device checks the tilt angle every 8 seconds

  • If the angle changes – a new message is sent

Beacon mode:

• The device sends every 30 seconds:

  • Open/closed state

  • Light intensity

  • Battery status

⚠️ NOTE! Beacon mode significantly reduces battery life!
Can be enabled in the Shelly Smart Control app.

User interface

One button on the device:

• Hold for 10 seconds – device enters pairing mode (Bluetooth device)

• Hold for 30 seconds – factory reset (only possible immediately after battery insertion)
