• Capability • The capability of EI series recorders depends on the use or non-use of AI. Camera-based AI and recorder-based AI. Recorder-based functions include face detection, human identification, perimeter protection, and Smart Motion Detection (SMD Plus). Camera-based AI additionally offers people counting, crowd density monitoring, ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), traffic jam detection, and heat map generation. The device’s bandwidth for recording, live monitoring, and network access is 256 Mbps when AI is off. When AI is in use, it is 180 Mbps.
• Camera Inputs • Up to 8 cameras with a resolution of up to 16 MP
• Face Detection • This is a two-stage process: detecting faces in the frame (FD) and identifying detected faces (FR), i.e., recognizing people. Both operations can be performed by the recorder and the camera; cameras from the fifth series can detect, and from the seventh series can identify. The recorder’s AI can detect faces in one input (12 faces per second), while camera-side detection is supported for all 8 inputs. The recorder’s face identification capability is one channel at 12 faces per second for faces detected by itself, and 8 channels at 12 faces per second for faces detected by the camera. All 8 channels are supported when identified by the camera. A maximum of 10 databases can be created with up to 20,000 face images. AI can fix age, gender, facial expression, and other conditions; birthdays, addresses, and other information can be added separately.
