CO (carbon monoxide) detection

The device triggers according to accumulated CO level:

> 50 ppm, approximately 0.005%: alarm within up to 90 minutes

> 100 ppm, approximately 0.01%: alarm within up to 40 minutes

> 300 ppm, approximately 0.03%: alarm within up to 3 minutes

If CO drops below 50 ppm within one minute, the alarm stops.

Sensor lifetime: 10 years, after which the device must be replaced.

Alarm and connection functions

Built-in siren volume approximately 85 dB at around 3 m, providing an alarm that can be silenced with the Test/Mute button.

Interconnected alarm: when one FireProtect detector in the system detects an alarm, the sirens of all system detectors activate within about 20 seconds, even offline, with a suitable firmware version.

LED indicators:

Green: power present, flashes approximately every 56 seconds

Yellow: fault or battery warning

Red: alarm due to CO level

Communication range up to approximately 1700 m in open-field conditions. Works with other Ajax devices and is compatible with ReX and ReX 2.

Power supply and lifetime

Powered by 2 × CR123A batteries, approximately 1600 mAh.

Battery life up to 5–7 years for the RB version. RB requires special energy-saving settings to be enabled in the hub system.

Recommended service life and optimal sensitivity are up to 10 years, after which the device should be replaced.

If you only need carbon monoxide detection, this is a suitable and compact solution.

CO sensors respond to accumulated toxic gas, not smoke or heat.

The price is usually lower than combined detector models.
