Akuvox S535 – modular IP door phone panel with facial recognition

Akuvox S535 is a modular IP door phone panel that combines video phone, facial recognition and access control capabilities. The device is suitable for managing entrances to apartment buildings, office buildings, gated residential areas, commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

The S535 front panel is made of aluminum and equipped with a 5-inch IPS touchscreen. The built-in 2 MP ultra-wide camera offers 116° horizontal field of view and automatic lighting. Two-way IP audio communication with echo cancellation enables clear communication between the visitor and the resident or employee.

Multiple door opening options

Akuvox S535 allows using different authentication methods according to the facility’s needs. The door can be opened:

• with facial recognition;
• with EM or MIFARE card;
• with PIN code;
• via BLE;
• with QR code;
• with NFC supported Android devices.

Using multiple authentication methods allows creating a convenient solution for both residents, employees and temporary visitors.

Expandable modular solution

S535 supports additional modules that allow expanding the system’s functions according to the project. Available are LTE, fingerprint reader and induction loop modules.

This structure allows using the same base device on different types of facilities and adding necessary functions according to project requirements.

Integration and connections

Akuvox S535 runs on Linux operating system and supports SIP and ONVIF protocols. The device has Ethernet connection, PoE+ power, RS485 interface and configurable Wiegand input or output.

The built-in relay output allows controlling an electric lock or other access control device. Two inputs are suitable for connecting, for example, a door contact, open button or other external device.

Suitable for outdoor use

IP66 weather resistance and IK08 impact resistance allow installing the S535 panel in demanding outdoor conditions. Operating temperature ranges from –40 °C to +55 °C.

The panel can be installed either flush-mounted or surface-mounted.
