• Capabilities • EI series recorder capabilities depend on AI usage. Camera-based AI and recorder-based AI. Recorder-based functions include face detection, human identification, perimeter protection, and Smart Motion Detection (SMD Plus). Camera-based AI adds people counting, crowd monitoring, license plate recognition, traffic jam detection, and heat map generation to the above. The device’s bandwidth for recording, live monitoring, and network access is 384Mbps when AI is off, and 200Mbps when AI is in use.
• Camera Inputs • Up to 32 cameras with resolution up to 32MP
• Face Recognition • This is a two-step process: face detection (FD) in the frame and identification (FR) of detected faces. Both operations can be performed by the recorder or the camera. Cameras from the 5th series can detect faces, and from the 7th series can identify them. The recorder’s AI can detect faces on two inputs (12 faces per second); camera-side detection is supported for all 16 inputs. The recorder’s face identification capability is two channels at 12 faces per second for faces detected by itself, and 16 channels at 16 faces per second for faces detected by cameras. Camera-side identification supports 16 channels. A maximum of 20 databases can be created, each with up to 20,000 face images. AI fixes age, gender, facial expression, and other conditions; birthdays, addresses, and other information can be added separately.
• License Plate Recognition • Camera-based recognition only, up to 8 channels using license plate recognition cameras, allowed and forbidden license plate lists, database up to 20,000 plates
• Perimeter Protection • 4 channels with recorder-based AI, up to 10 rules per channel; all 16 channels with camera-based AI
