FireProtect VAD Jeweller is a wireless visual alarm device (VAD) that complies with European fire safety standards EN 54-23 and EN 54-25, as well as the RED 2014\/53\/EU radio equipment directive. The device works with the robust Ajax Jeweller radio protocol, providing a reliable and secure connection to the EN54 Fire Hub control panel or through Fire ReX.<\/p>\n
Visual alarm (VAD)<\/p>\n
The device provides a visual alarm using an LED frame that flashes in a 90 ms on \/ 1910 ms off mode, with a 2000 ms cycle period (0.5 Hz).<\/p>\n
It is especially suitable for noisy environments or areas where audible alerts may be limited, such as wide corridors, large rooms, production lines or spaces where additional safety is needed for people with hearing impairment.<\/p>\n
Audible alarm<\/p>\n
This VAD model relies on visual notification and does not include an audible alarm, unlike the Sounder\/VAD model.<\/p>\n
Communication and security<\/p>\n
Uses the Jeweller radio protocol with two-way communication and automatic frequency hopping to avoid interference.<\/p>\n
Communication range is up to 1700 m in open space and the device is compatible with the Fire ReX range extender.<\/p>\n
